Admission
Lottery
Like other charter schools, we hold an admissions lottery once a year to fill spaces for the following school year. Applications for the lottery are available beginning in January and the lottery is held in late Spring for the incoming 6th grade class and open spaces in the higher grades.
Applicants are allowed one ticket for the lottery. The lottery will be held in a public forum on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Attendance at the lottery is not mandatory and will not impact your childs chance of being admitted. During the lottery, student names are drawn one at a time and listed in the order pulled. After the lottery is completed, OCS will inform families by a phone call and a letter in the mail. Families then have seven business days to come into OCS to fill out registration paperwork and submit the following documents:

You will be informed of your childs waitlist number through a letter in the mail and if taken off the waitlist, a phone call will be made to the numbers listed on the application.
