We do not determine acceptance based on grades, test scores, or attendance records. We select our students via a lottery system. Students who have siblings currently enrolled at OCS and students living in District 3 will have preference for admittance. Transfer high school students are required to hand in a transcript before they are accepted into OCS, allowing us to ensure students are applying for the grade that corresponds with the amount of credits earned thus far. All other applications submitted by the deadline will be entered into a lottery. Late applications will be added to a waitlist in the order they are received.

Applicants are allowed one ticket for the lottery. The lottery will be held in a public forum on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Attendance at the lottery is not mandatory and will not impact your child’s chance of being admitted. During the lottery, student names are drawn one at a time and listed in the order pulled. After the lottery is completed, OCS will inform families by a phone call and a letter in the mail. Families then have seven business days to come into OCS to fill out registration paperwork and submit appropriate documents.

OCS is still accepting students for this current school year (2009-2010). We understand families may find OCS midway through an academic year, and thus, we are still accepting applications for grades where there are seats available. Fill out the 2009-2010 admissions application and ask your admissions coordinator about available seats in your desired grade.
